Wedding supplier recomendations

When it comes to your wedding knowing where to start with suppliers can feel a little overwhelming. My best advice is to think back over weddings you’ve been a guest at and what was memorable to you, and research any amazing recommendations you get. Your wedding venue will likely have a list of preferred suppliers too, or it may be that you’ve already booked one of your key suppliers who will usually be happy to recommend people they’ve worked with.

Below is a list of some my favourite suppliers, whom I’ve had the pleasure of working with and I think they’re all fantastic…

Photographers

Paul Joseph Photography

Paul & Kel are the most amazing dynamic duo of photography! I’ve been lucky enough to work with them a few times (check out my B&T and R&J blog posts) and have also booked them for my own wedding in 2024. Their personalities are infectious and they approach everything with positivity and fun. They put you at ease, connect with your guests and the end result is magical.

Lily North Photography

Lily brings sunshine to everything she touches, which pairs perfectly with her amazing ability to use light in such clever ways. You’ll see from her portfolio the way she captures colour and light is simply perfection. You want to just dive into her photos and join in the celebration! I worked with Lily for the first time in 2021 on a lovely autumnal wedding and her images took my breath away.

Hamish Irvine

Hamish is the kind of photographer who gets stuck in! He’ll be dancing with your guests whilst taking the most amazing photos. As soon as you meet him it’s like you’ve known him for years! He photographed my brother & sister-in-law’s wedding in 2022 (check out the blog post here) so I’ve been lucky enough to experience him as a guest and as a supplier – both sides were exceptional.

An Open Book Photography

I worked with Kathryn for the first time in 2022 (take a look at H&J’s wedding here) and absolutely loved her approach and personality the moment I met her. You can tell she truly loves what she does. Kathryn also runs a dog photography business (check it out here) so if you’re planning on including your VIP (Very Impawtant Pooch!) in your big day then Kathryn is the perfect choice.

Hair & Make-up

Bow and Blush

Sister duo Jade & Beth are the best in the business. I’ve experienced their services as a bridesmaid, experienced them as a co-supplier to weddings, and I was so impressed that I’ve booked them for my own wedding in 2024. J&B bring so much light and positive energy during your getting ready time, and make it such a memorable experience. They make you feel super special and it’s like your besties are doing your hair and make-up.

Calligraphy

Just Lovely Calligraphy

Nicola’s calligraphy is simply beautiful. I personally use her for all of my gift tags and she’s also done my wedding stationery too. She works with your really collaboratively, has amazing attention to detail, and is really passionate about what she does.

Loughman’s Lettering

Louise is one of the most talented wedding calligraphy & signage suppliers in the business and she just happens to be in Huddersfield! Her Instagram is so dreamy and as you can see from her amazing work, you would be putting your trust in the right person.

Flower preserving

The Framed Flower

Danielle and I met through Instagram and I’m so glad we did! Her work is amazing and I’ve recommended lots of my couples to her, who have gone on to receive the most beautiful frames. Danielle hand preserves wedding bouquets and there’s a range of different options to choose from. Her Instagram Reels are addictive and it’s so cool to see her process. She can work with dried and fresh flowers so if you opt for all dried, don’t worry! She can still work her magic.

Food

The Grazing Guys

If you’re on the hunt for a wedding/event caterer then look no further than The Grazing Guys. Not only do they bring fantastic savoury food but there’s also the added extra of The Fizz Fellas and they do some absolutely stunning desserts!
