Lucy & Mike’s dried flower wedding at Holdsworth House

The wonderful Lucy and Mike. I don’t have the words but I’m going to try! The most beautiful couple inside and out. It was an absolute joy to work with them and to be part of their wedding journey. They threw the rule book out of the window and did their own thing. Every part of their wedding was a representation of them, their style and what they truly wanted for their big day.

The brief – dried flowers, including hops (they pulled a pint instead of having a first dance – they are literally the coolest!), and incorporate the colours black, charcoal, brown, white, grey, silver and gold tones. Pinterest, Instagram and google literally served us up one image to use as inspiration image and I’m so grateful to L&M for trusting me to work with them to bring their vision to life. We were very much going off our minds eye. All three of us could see it, and now we just needed to make it a reality.

Lucy and Mike both opted for completely different wedding outfits too, which fit in perfectly with their colour scheme, style and vision. As L wanted trailing ribbons for her bouquet, we colour matched everything up with all of her amazing outfit details, ensuring it also matched up with M’s suit. We went through a few ribbon samples so that everything intertwined perfectly and it was a true collaboration between florist and client.
