Vikki & Alexander’s leafy wedding at Wyresdale Park

I’ve been lucky enough to know Vikki & Alexander for a few years now, and it is always an honour to provide wedding flowers for their big day. Like many couples, V&A originally booked their wedding for 2020 and had to postpone due to Covid. Finally, after almost four years in the planning, they were able to tie the knot in 2022.

The couple opted for the lovely Wyresdale Park in the Forest of Bowland for their venue, and it was such a beautiful setting for their wedding. From cobbled passages to quaint gardens and a fantastic wedding breakfast area with a mezzanine level, it really does offer that point of difference.

V&A wanted to reflect the surroundings with their florals, so together we designed a foliage-heavy look with a focus on all things leafy and green. For table décor I provided plants such as asparagus fern and Boston ferns, which were placed in some cut and simple gold pots, which looked lovely next to the light green candles on the darker green table runners. The staircase was dressed with lots of different foliages to help keep the theme running throughout – it was one of my favourite elements to put together and it linked the lower level of the room to the mezzanine level.

Vikki’s bouquet was full of foliage with just a few Clematis Amazing Kibo and Waxflower stems. The Kibo provided a hint of grey which reflected Vikki’s gorgeous ombre dress perfectly. These stems were used throughout the bridesmaid bouquets and buttonholes too to provide a hint of dotty florals in between the lush foliage.
