I’ve been lucky enough to know Holly since upper school, and provided the florals for her brother’s wedding back in 2019. It was lovely to be back with the family again for Holly & Joe’s big day!
H&J picked The Woodman Inn for their wedding – it’s a beautiful venue set in a wooded area not too far from Huddersfield, with on site rooms for the wedding party and guests to stay, and a fantastic team that couldn’t have been more friendly. It matched the look and feel they wanted for their day and it was a dream to dress.
When it came to the flowers, scent was as important as look for H&J. The colour scheme was white, off-white, blush, sandy tones and lots of lush foliage in a range of sage greens and woody greens. To incorporate scents, we pulled from one of the couple’s favourite places – Italy. Rosemary sprigs, olive stems and Italian eucalyptus were all added to the bouquet, buttonholes and décor. We also included scented candles throughout the venue – vanilla for a little holiday gelato reminder, and eucalyptus for a natural scent – which worked really well with the rosemary sprigs.
H&J’s day was captured by the talented Kathryn, who as well as shooting weddings is also a dog photographer! Maisy & Milo, the couples cute dogs, were included in their big day and Kathryn’s photos of them are so cute. They each had some florals to match with mum and dad on the day too.
