Laura & Leanne’s leafy forest wedding at Camp Katur, Bedale

The amazing Ellen at Bloom Events got in touch with me back in December 2021 to help her with a Christmassy engagement set up for Leanne and Laura. It was a big YES and the wedding planning began straight away – the two lovely brides to be wanted a summer wedding in 2022 and Ellen got back in touch to see if I could sort all things floral. Of course I was on board immediately as they are such a wonderful couple, and we couldn’t wait to get started!

With a short time frame it was all hands on deck and once the venue was booked, so all of the finer details could be planned. L&L went for Camp Katur in North Yorkshire and Ellen started to work her usual magic to bring everything together, from doing all of the décor to bringing in all of us suppliers, and making sure their day would be perfect.

The couple went for a white and green theme to go with their lovely forest setting, for which I provided bouquets, buttonholes, staircase and signage foliage, chair ties plus lots of extra foliage to complement the fantastic look Ellen had created. As well as being the stylist and planner for the big day, Ellen also provided and set up all of the amazing vases, candles, and finishing touches that really brought the wedding look to life. There were even comfy cushions for the ceremony benches – she really does think of everything. Oh Blythe Design created the amazing signage for the day, like the gorgeous seating plan photographed below. So pretty!!

I’d also like to give a huge shout out to Homegrown Hospitality who were the caterers for the day. The nicest team and the most amazing food. We were lucky enough to have supplier packed lunches on the day and they were so delicious. The food heading out to the guests looked phenomenal, and you can tell they really care about what they do.
