I was so excited when July finally came around because that meant Michelle & Matt’s wedding was just around the corner.
I met Michelle through a mutual friend a couple of years ago, and I’m so glad I did because she’s one of those people who instantly puts a smile on your face – she’s lovely, intelligent, witty, and beautiful inside and out. She and Matt are an amazing couple and I was over the moon to be asked to do the flowers for their wedding.
The wedding and reception took place at Pennine Manor in Huddersfield, a beautiful venue surrounded by lush, green fields. The couple opted for a natural-looking colour scheme and decoration for their wedding, choosing whites, off-whites and greenery.
To add a truly personal touch to the wedding flowers, Michelle was really keen to include some bits and bobs from her Dad’s garden – it was lovely to visit her parents home and pick out some things together, and it really made the flowers extra special.
Michelle’s bridesmaids and flower girl had bouquets that complemented hers, with a posy of gyp for the flower girl and a lovely range of off-whites and greens for the maid’s blooms, tied in with their beautiful sage dresses.
When it came to ceremony table decoration, Michelle and Matt went for a lovely, natural-looking wooden planter, which was printed with their names and the date of the weeding. It’ll be great for them to use it as a decoration in the house and garden all year round, as a little extra reminder of their big day.
I joined the wedding party at the reception – it was lovely to get to know Michelle and Matt’s families a little better, so many of which had made the journey from different continents, and celebrate the coming together of two amazing people.
Congratulations to the happy couple! x
