Valley Gardens, Harrogate, Spring 2018

I haven’t been to Valley Gardens since last autumn, so while I was in Harrogate over the weekend I stopped by to see the spring blooms.

After my visit to Harlow Carr, I walked back via Pine Wood and Valley Gardens. The route only takes about half an hour and is a little more scenic than the main road! There’s sign posts all the way back to Harrogate for walkers, making it super easy to meander your way back into town.

At the gardens I was welcomed by an array of pink and purple flowers and blossom trees, and lots of dog walkers spending an afternoon in the sunshine.

Between the flowers and the dogs I was in my element! A couple asked me to get some pictures of them and their dog with the lovely blossoms in the background, which I got really stuck into. I’m sure they appreciated the 58362 photos I took of them so they’d have options.

I just hate when the role is reversed and you end up with two very blurry photos to choose from, so I always go into full photoshoot mode when anyone asks me to help! All about the ‘gram.

There’s a lovely little pavilion near the entrance that sells snacks and ice creams, and there’s also a playground and skate park for the kids to enjoy. Take a picnic down and pick a patch of grass to lounge on for a while in the sun – you won’t regret it.
